Meet Brandon Watson. Brandon is from Saskatchewan but has lived in Kamloops for one year. He is a motivated guy who loves to spend time with his dad and work out.
Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kamloops?
Saskatchewan. One year.
Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My Dad. We've built a stronger relationship since him and my mom split.
What is your favourite local store in Kamloops and why?
No limits fitness because it's where I work out.
Describe yourself in one word.
Motivated.
If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Bora Bora. I've wanted to vacation there ever since I saw those little guys in the water.
What is your favourite activity in Kamloops?
Patio Drinks and hitting up the beach in summer.
What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
I'm terrible with names and I forget them all the time.
What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
A friend of mine who I met at the gym (strong power-lifting young woman) told me that she first got into fitness after she was in a car accident that left her paralyzed, with no guarantee of walking again. Today she's setting records in the powerlifting federation she competes in.
Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
growing up we didn't have much, but one day my dad brought me outside because he had bought me a brand new red bike. I was about five at the time and this was pretty much the coolest thing ever.
Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I'm very open and friendly when it comes to giving people advice or perspective. I want the best for everyone so I always try to be open and accommodating.
If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
I wish people wouldn't be so ideologically stagnant. More open to other points of view, and actually interested in finding the truth, and not just sitting in their own ideological echo chamber. I see and know too many good people with good intentions who preach immoral things because they're not humble enough to accept the fact that they don't have all the answers.
Where would you sneak away to in Kamloops to spend some time alone?
My home.
Where would you like to see positive change in Kamloops and why?
I think this happens everywhere, but small towns can get a bit gossipy.
What do you think makes Kamloops great?
Personally, for me, it's quite central to most of my family. And the weather is nice.

I'm Christian, but I keep it to myself.

Instagram is my main social media platform. @the.watson.
What is the name of your business/organization?
Truth In Meaning.
Why did you get into/start this business?
I chose to take on the challenge of creating content that people might be interested in consuming.
What is the goal of your business?
To start conversations about who we are, the importance of truth and how we can all live meaningful lives.
What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
Staying in one place and planting roots.
What do you always find yourself saying?
I could always be better/improve.

Dr. Jordan Peterson.
