I try to read one book each week.
How do people connect with you, personally, through social media? (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
Facebook and Instagram.
What is the name of your business/organization?
I am a real estate agent with the Kirsten Mason Team at Century 21.
Why did you get into/start this business?
I always knew I wanted to be in a profession where work didn’t feel like work. I knew that I loved being around and interacting with people. I’ve always had a passion for real estate, I had a background in marketing and I wanted to create my own schedule.
What is the goal of your business?
To help as many individuals achieve their dream of home ownership as possible. It’s very rewarding to be able to assist people with the biggest purchase of their lives. I love being able to help people find the perfect house to make their home.
What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
My biggest struggle is maintaining a healthy work-life balance. To me, it’s very important to have both a successful career and a happy home life with my family. These are non-negotiable so I have to be efficient and organized with my time.
What do you always find yourself saying?
I often find myself telling friends and clients that everything happens the way that it’s meant to and everything has a way of falling in to place at the right time.
Tell us your best piece of life advice.
My best piece of life advice would be to focus on yourself and never compare yourself to others. Do you. Push your limits, prove yourself wrong and show yourself what you are capable of. Create a life that you are proud of.
If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
Reese Witherspoon. She is someone that I truly admire. She is ambitious, hardworking and has a family, not to mention that she has recently started a book club called Hello Sunshine so I feel that we would discuss books for the majority of the day as I love to read!
Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
It’s a great feeling knowing that our hard earned dollars are going towards members of our community. This then allows their families to be more active and involved in Kamloops and to me, this is what creates the great sense of community that we have!

Receiving my university degree from UBC.
