Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kamloops?
I am from Kamloops and I have lived here my whole life.
Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My whole family, because I wouldn't be where I am today without them.
What is your favourite local store in Kamloops and why?
The Farmers Market because I can get fresh, local ingredients.
Describe yourself in one word.
Caring.
If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
I would go to Mexico to watch the baby turtles hatching.
What is your favourite activity in Kamloops?
My favourite activity in Kamloops is playing soccer.
What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
When I was told I pronounce supposedly wrong. I am not allowed to live it down.
What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
The most inspiring thing that has happened to me is when my dad decided to open his business. It showed me that with hard work and dedication, I could open Boo's Sweet Shop.
Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
My favourite childhood memory is when my dad and I would take my three dogs to the lake for the first time in the summer.
Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I have volunteered in many places in Kamloops but my favourite was at the veterinary clinic. Where I cared for several dogs.
If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
If I could change one thing in the world it would be for everyone to be kinder to each other. You never know what someone is going through.
Where would you sneak away to in Kamloops to spend some time alone?
I would go to the park and feed the ducks.
Where would you like to see positive change in Kamloops and why?
More family-owned small businesses.
What do you think makes Kamloops great?
The family-friendly events around town.
What are 3 things on your bucket list?
1. Open a storefront to Boo's Sweet Shop.
2. Travel the world with my love.
3. Travel to Spain and watch a home soccer game.

I run my own business.

Boo's Sweet Shop.
Why did you get into/start this business?
I wanted to turn my love of baking into a career.
What is the goal of your business?
To create a sustainable business that makes me proud to call myself a baker.
What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
My tendency to stress over perfection in my products.
What do you always find yourself saying?
"Would you like sprinkles with that?"

The Cake Boss, Buddy Valastro. To continue to learn and grow as a baker.
Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
To help support families like ours in Kamloops.

Starting Boo's Sweet Shop.
