Our national parks are the perfect setting for summer adventures, and Parks Canada is helping make that a little more possible.
On Canada Day, free admission is being offered to any national park in the country.
The free admission also applies to national historic sites and national marine conservation areas.
Plan a trip to places like Kootenay National Park, Glacier National Park, Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve, Yoho National Park and more.
“On July 1, admission will be free at all Parks Canada administered places across the country,” said Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Environment and Climate Change.
“I hope you will spend this day with family and friends creating your own stories against the backdrop of inspiring national historic sites or breathtaking national parks and national marine conservation areas. Happy Canada Day!”

Parks Canada protects a vast network of cultural and natural heritage places that includes 171 national historic sites, 47 national parks, five national marine conservation areas and one national urban park.
