The City of Kamloops has partnered with the BC Lions Football Club to host the 6th annual BC Lions Fanfest.
The event will take place on Sat., June 4 and fans of all ages are invited to join in on the festivities. The Fanfest will kick off at Hillside Stadium at 5 p.m. and the event will run until 9:45 p.m. and will be capped off with a fireworks display. The Lions will be conducting a football clinic from 6 to 6:45 p.m. and offering local kids aged six to 13 a chance to learn from the pros.
At 9:30 p.m., the Lions will hold an autograph session which will be followed by the fireworks display. Fans will enjoy a multitude of entertainment, including performances by the Felions (BC Lions Dance Team) and a chance to meet Leo the Lion.
“Fanfest in Kamloops is one of the highlights of our pre-season calendar,” said Jamie Taras, Director of Community Relations for the BC Lions. “We are excited to roll out our new format with fireworks and football. We look forward to seeing you at Fanfest on June 4.”
Other activities will include inflatable games, face painting, and more. Food will be available from the Kamloops Lions Paddlewheelers and Eats Amore, with partial proceeds going to Kamloops Community Football. There will also be a beer garden for those 19 years of age and older.
