Blazers trade Dylan Sydor to Lethbridge

The Kamloops Blazers have parted ways with Dylan Sydor after a Monday afternoon trade.

Sydor will make his way to the Lethbridge Hurricanes in exchange for 2003-born forward Blake Swetlikoff, a 2024 third-round pick and a 2025 second-round pick.

“Dylan is a great teammate and person. He was a contributor to three division championships over his time with the Blazers,” said GM/head coach Shaun Clouston.

“We would like to sincerely thank Dylan for all his hard work and dedication to our hockey club and wish him the best in Lethbridge.”

Swetlikoff joins the Blazers with 195 games of WHL experience in which he has tallied 34 goals and 60 assists.

The 20-year-old has two goals and seven assists this season and before his time in Lethbridge he played for the Spokane Chiefs.

Sydor appeared in 179 games with the Blazers, accumulating 42 goals and 43 assists.

The Blazers are back at home on Friday as they take on the Everett Silvertips.
