(UPDATE: 9:15 a.m.) - Joseph Stelcasky has been located by the Revelstoke Search and Rescue team.
Crews found the missing skier shortly before 9 a.m. on Monday and the 41-year-old is reported to be cold, but in fine condition.
The Revelstoke RCMP wants to remind back-country skiers to ski with others, be prepared to spend the night, have a cell phone, tell others where you're going and carry a flashlight, extra food and water.
(Original story: 8:40 a.m.) - Revelstoke Search and Rescue are looking for a skier who went missing in the Revelstoke backcountry on Sunday.
Joseph Stelcasky was last seen at Revelstoke Mountain at 1 p.m. before attempting to ski the mountain's 'Brown Shorts' chute.
The 41-year-old was reported to be wearing a lime green ski jacket, yellow ski pants and green boots.
It’s suspected that Stelcasky will likely be in the area by Greely Road near the water plant, but police patrolled the area overnight with no sign of the missing man.
Revelstoke Search and Rescue deployed a team and helicopter at first light on Monday.
