The Vancouver Canucks have unveiled the four jerseys that they’ll start wearing in the fall.
The team’s new home and away jersey are slightly modified versions of the jerseys they’ve been wearing since 2008.
Gone is the much maligned ‘Vancouver’ wordmark, but the only other change is to the shoulder patch, which is now white instead of blue.
As fans already knew, the team will also be wearing the popular black skate jersey for a number of games next year after it was voted to be the team’s 50th anniversary season’s retro jersey.
The biggest reveal today was the Canucks new heritage jersey, which is an updated version of the team’s classic stick and rick look.
It’s a blue jersey with large green striping, the most green the Canucks have ever used in a jersey, with the modernized stick and rink logo on the chest.
“Acknowledging our history, while looking forward to a new era, the heritage jersey features a modern stylized take on the stick and rink mark worn during our inaugural season in 1970-71,” said a write up from the team.
“Representing the rain, the perforations in the numbers depict a defining characteristic of life on the west coast, and our home.”
The jerseys will become available for purchase at different dates over the next three months and you can pre-order them through Vanbase.
