Seventeen members of the Kamloops Tsunami Swim Club attended the Revelstoke Invitational Swim Meet over the weekend, swimming an impressive 83 top-five finishes.
Six Tsunami swimmers were aggregate award winners in their respective divisions, with Cooper Heide in Division 1, Tyler Cloet in Division 2, Kara Branchflower in Division 5, Sebastian Martin in Division 5, Denae Branchflower in Division 6 and Shale Maurice in the Open category.
Denae Branchflower, Hayley Branchflower, Kara Branchflower, Alexis Cloet, Tyler Cloet, Emerson Faupel, Gwenna Faupel, Jakob Faupel, Cooper Heide, Jolene Heide, Alexandra Karpuk, Michael Karpuk, Victoria Karpuk, Shale Maurice, Courtenay Worsfold and Garrett Worsfold all recorded personal best times at the meet.
Next up for the Kamloops Tsunami Swim Club will be the Okanagan Regional Championships which will be held August 5th and August 6th, followed by the Provincial Championships August 14th to August 20th, both of which will be held at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre in Kamloops.
